Hereditary Cancer High Risk Panel

(4 Customer Reviews)
$0.00

Is a 28 gene panel that includes assessment of non-coding variants.

Is ideal for patients with a clinical suspicion of hereditary cancer susceptibility syndrome. This panel is designed to detect heritable germline mutations and should not be used for the detection of somatic mutations in tumor tissue.

The most common inherited cancer syndromes are hereditary breast and ovarian cancer syndrome, Lynch syndrome (also known as hereditary non-polyposis colorectal cancer), Li-Fraumeni syndrome, Cowden syndrome, familial adenomatous polyposis, Von-Hippel Lindau syndrome, and multiple endocrine neoplasia type 1 and type 2. Most of the hereditary cancer syndromes are inherited in an autosomal dominant manner and penetrance is high. Genetic testing is the most effective way to identify individuals with genetic predisposition of developing cancer.

Test Features

Cancer predisposition genetic testing helps identify inherited gene mutations that may increase an individual’s lifetime risk of developing certain cancers. These tests analyse genes associated with hereditary cancer syndromes, providing valuable insights for prevention, early detection, and personalised healthcare planning.
